Frequently Asked Questions
How soon do we need to book you in advance?
As soon as you have decided that you would like us to film the wedding for you, remember all good services will be booked well in advance.
We have bookings placed for weddings two years from now.
How much of the day do you film?
As much or little as you would like, either both cameras starting at the venue or splitting cameras location providing timing will allow.
How long do you stay?
We will normally stay on site up to 11pm so as to cover the fun and spectacle of the reception.
Will we be able to see the cameras?
Yes you will, if you can’t see the camera it can’t see you, however we always work as unobtrusively as is possible.
Why do you need to use two cameras?
So as obtain complete coverage of the day, make the film more interesting, and give you a very highly polished professional video.
Will you be putting the cameras in the face of our guests?
No, under no circumstances do we subject anyone to any form of stress
Do you use spotlights on the cameras?
Yes we do, these are only used for the reception footage or when filming outside in the dark, both cameras are fitted with 30-watt lights, which are tilted upward so as not to dazzle or interfere with the atmosphere of the lighting being used by your entertainment.
Do you really need to use the radio mic and how big is it?
Yes we believe we do, as it ensures that your vows and other important parts of the day can be heard with ease and clarity on your finished video.
The transmitter pack, which is only worn by the groom, never the bride is about the size of a packet of playing cards.
In all but a few cases the groom will forget it is even there after a few minutes.
Do you come to rehearsal before the wedding?
Yes, even if it is a venue we have filmed at many times, we always attend the rehearsal and run through with you and the wedding officiator what he or she expects from use, camera locations, where the reading are being read from and so on, by taking time with little details we can get the best results.
Do we need a video licence before you can film our wedding?
Yes you do, this a bit of a mine field, in some cases the wedding venue will ask you to fill in a form which we will have to sign as well, in other cases they don’t, in either event we as your official videographer must obtain a wedding video licence, this covers all aspects of the day and is included in the price of your wedding video.
Do you expect a hot meal and if so how many?
This is entirely at your discretion, we do not insist on a meal being supplied as we know only to well they are not cheap, with three crew members working for an average of fifteen hours on your wedding day it is very much appreciated if you do, the only time we get to eat is during the wedding breakfast.
If we do supply a meal should we include your crew in the seating plan?
No not unless you want to, we are just as happy in the bar or in a quiet corner.
Do we need to arrange for over night accommodation for your crew?
No, unless the video shoot is more than fifty miles away from the studio or the shoot covers more than one day.
Can we see the video before it produced?
Yes, you will be invited to the studio when your film has been edited to preview the film, only when you are happy with the result will it be produced onto the media of your choice.
Can we have a mixture of DVD and Videotape?
Yes you can have what media you wish.
What happens if we want copies of our video after it has been produced, in say two years or more?
